The existing Community Centre (Kennedy Hall) is tired and dated. It requires extensive refurbishment. It sadly no longer offers a sufficient and appropriate community gathering space. Our long-term objective is to construct a new purpose-built Community Centre within Kennedy Park. The new Community Centre would incorporate a large central gym / assembly hall, with an intimate gathering space (lounge, art-studio, library), a small Cafe, associated kitchen and toilet facilities, and outdoor leisure spaces. A Project of this scale requires significant funding, and we are actively exploring all options. Meantime, we have submitted an Application to South Ayrshire Council for refurbishment and transfer of this built-asset to the Community. See below:
