North Carrick Community Benefit Company (NCCBC) is a charitable company set-up to collect and administer funds received from the Windfarm Operators surrounding local Communities in North Carrick. For the purposes of the scheme, North Carrick has been divided according to the Community councils; (1) Maybole, (2) Crosshill, Straiton & Kirkmichael, (3) Kirkoswald, Maidens & Turnberry, (4) Dunure, and (5) Minishant. The Dersalloch Windfarm near Straiton, operated by "Scottish Power Renewables", is distributing £207,000 per annum for each of the five Years 2015/16 - 2019/20.

Each Community Council has autonomy over an initial Small Fund (£3,300) to prioritise local Projects which fit specific criteria. A Medium Fund (up to £5,000) is open to applications from anyone. And a Large Fund is reserved for strategic Projects.

Dunure is represented by Angus Craig, a Member of Dunure Community Council, and a Director of NCCBC.

Our Small Fund of £3,300 was used to assist Fisherton Primary School, Dunure Youth Club, Dunure Environmental Group, and the Kennedy Hall & Park Committee with items for Litter Pick-Ups, steel supports to display the Seahorses Sculpture, slates for the Labyrinth, new Fire Doors in Kennedy Hall, and financial assistance with local childrens' visit to Galloway Activity Centre.
